Inner Timber, Outer Temple
2 Chronicles 2:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Chronicles 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Solomon requests cedar, fir, and alguм timber from Lebanon, promising abundant work-forces cooperation and generous provisions (wheat, barley, wine, oil) for the temple he plans to build.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the scene is not about bricks alone, but about the state you inhabit. The king is your I AM, asking the Lebanon of your deeper self for timber—the raw materials of form—needed to raise a temple of meaning. The workers who cut and prepare the timber are the disciplined thoughts and feelings that must cooperate with your vision. When it is said, thy servants shall be with thy servants, it declares that your inner faculties stand in partnership, not in opposition, toward a common goal. The abundant provisions—wheat, barley, wine, and oil—are the nourishment of your being: gratitude, strength, joy, and clarity. The house to be built will be wonderful great because the consciousness that orders it is complete and confident, not hungry or doubtful. You do not beg from without; you align with the truth that all supply flows from your own consciousness, that the I AM knows the plan and provides accordingly. By entering this state in imagination, you awaken the causal power that makes the temple real in your outer world.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and imagine the timber arriving with your inner workers already on task; affirm in the present tense, I AM supplying all I need, and cooperation is flowing now.
