2 Chronicles 2:17

Biblical Context

Solomon counted all the strangers in the land of Israel, following David’s earlier census, and they numbered 150,003,600.

Neville's Inner Vision

Solomon's census is a parable for the mind's census. The land of Israel is my inner state; the strangers are hidden thoughts, fears, and energies I have not welcomed into my I AM awareness. The act of numbering is a deliberate attention to every state that walks in my inner city. When I count them as existing within me, I stop projecting them as distant outsiders and begin to unify them under one kingdom. The continuity from David's prior counting signals I am not trying to eradicate them, but to harmonize them under the law of love and unity that governs my inner world. Love of neighbor becomes love of every aspect of myself; obedience to divine law becomes the practice of tending my inner territory so that no one is alien to the I AM. In this inner economy, each 'stranger' is given a place, and the whole land becomes complete as I recognize and reintegrate all parts within my consciousness. This census reveals that the Kingdom is within and unity is possible through awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, breathing softly, rehearse the census within: acknowledge each inner state as a citizen of your I AM, then revise any fear by affirming, 'You are included in the Kingdom of my consciousness' until unity feels real.
