Read 2 Chronicles 18 in context

Scripture Focus

28So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.
29And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.
2 Chronicles 18:28-29

Biblical Context

Two kings go to battle; one chooses disguise while the other wears royal robes. The scene shows how outward signs can mask inner reality in a moment of conflict.

Neville's Inner Vision

Two rulers on a single battleground mirror two states of consciousness within you. The king who disguises himself is the ego clinging to form and appearance; the robes worn by the other signify rightful authority claimed by the I AM within. They march toward Ramothgilead as if the world’s danger is real, but the real battle is inside: will you trust sensation and costume, or the unassailable presence of awareness? Neville would say your true king is not the outfit you wear or the strategy you devise, but the I AM that animates you. When you identify with form, you may attempt to mask consequences, yet the inner law remains constant: your feeling of life is the I AM, and it creates your world. By refusing to rely on disguise and choosing to feel the authority already within, you align with the inner kingdom and move through conflict with ease. The page invites you to revise the scene from the inside, not by conjuring new props, but by awakening to the sovereign I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume I AM is king within; revise the scene by declaring I go forward as the whole and only king, and feel the certainty of uncorrupted awareness guiding every step.
