Inner Covenant Pathway
2 Chronicles 17:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The LORD was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the first ways of his father David and did not seek Baalim.
Neville's Inner Vision
The LORD with Jehoshaphat is the inner result of returning to the first ways of David, a restoration of the original state of consciousness. When a soul rests in that ancient pattern, the I AM—God within—becomes the atmosphere you live in, not a distant event. To walk in the first ways is to refuse Baalim, the idols of fear, distraction, or self-will, and to align your imagination with covenant loyalty. This is not external obedience alone but a recalibration of inner consciousness so that loyalty to the truth becomes your habitual feeling. As you imagine yourself already walking that path, you experience the same divine habit: guidance, protection, and ease flowing as your ordinary presence. The verse thus speaks of an inner covenant: obedience of perception and feeling, not mere outward ritual, summons the LORD into your life and makes divine favor your natural weather.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already walking in the Davidic first ways today. Feel the I AM as your constant companion, and revise every pull toward Baalim by quietly affirming, 'I am covenant loyalty now,' until that felt sense becomes your reality.
