Quiet Power of Reverent Fear
2 Chronicles 17:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The fear of the LORD fell on the surrounding kingdoms, preventing attack on Judah; foreign powers brought Jehoshaphat gifts and wealth as tribute.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the scene as a mirror of your inner state. When I dwell in the I AM—the aware, witnessing presence that you truly are—the fear that once seemed to govern the world around you falls away into reverence. Reverence here means an inner certainty of your true Identity, not trembling obedience. As you hold to that inner stance, the kingdoms of doubt relent and there is no war against your life. The gifts of Philistine and Arab are the energy of provision flowing from your own settledness: silver is security you feel, sheep and flocks are opportunities you recognize as already yours. Neville would name this imagination as the causal power: what you imagine with the feeling of it being real becomes your visible life. So you rest in that inner perception, and the outer scene aligns—peace replaces conflict, and abundance follows your steadfast sense of the I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, breathe, and declare, 'I am the I AM; the fear of the LORD rests upon my world now.' Then visualize surrounding conditions relaxing into harmony and presents of prosperity flowing toward you, and feel that this is already true.
