Eyes of Divine Awareness

2 Chronicles 16:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 16 in context

Scripture Focus

9For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
2 Chronicles 16:9

Biblical Context

God’s gaze is attentive to the state of your inner being; when your heart is aligned with Him, He acts in your behalf. If your inner alignment weakens, you may invite struggle or 'wars' as you experience the effects of misalignment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the 'eyes of the LORD' are your own inner gaze—awareness scanning your being until it finds a fixed point. The phrase 'to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him' means when your consciousness is anchored in the I AM, God acts through you—power flows, scenes rearrange, challenges bow to your inner actor. Your 'perfect heart' is the unshakeable inner alignment, not moral perfection but the refusal to entertain fear, the continued turning of attention back to the truth you are. Consider any outer trouble as the tail-end of a prior belief; revise the inner scene to 'I am always loved, guided, and powered by God within me.' So you live not by need but by assurance, and the world-line bends to your inner image. If you drift into doubt, correct it gently: 'My heart is fixed in God, and He has strengthened me.' This is the practice: dwell in the I AM, assume the end, feel it real, and watch God’s strength become your day.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume your heart is perfectly aligned with the I AM; feel a warm inner light strengthening you, and revise any fear by declaring: 'The eyes of the LORD are upon me; I am fixed in God.'
