To the I AM within, this verse is a map to your inner geography. 'They entered into a covenant' is not a distant contract but a decision of consciousness to align with the LORD of their fathers—their own central awareness. The heart and the soul are the investiture of attention and feeling; when you refuse to split your focus and commit fully, you awaken the state in which the LORD is not outside but within your own awareness as your I AM. In Neville's terms, the covenant is the moment you assume that you already live under the governance of that supreme you who loves, protects, and inspires. Your outward life simply responds to this inner agreement; obedience is the natural effect of a steadfast inner loyalty. When you repeatedly act from that state, your world shifts to reflect the steadfast devotion you impose upon your thoughts and feelings. This is faith made tangible: the inner alignment creates the outer experience of the sought-for LORD.
