Biblical Context
The Spirit of God comes upon Azariah and he tells Asa and all Judah that the LORD is with you so long as you remain with Him; if you seek Him, you will find Him, but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.
Neville's Inner Vision
The Spirit of God upon Azariah is your inner illumination when you align your entire being with the one I AM. The phrase 'The LORD is with you, while ye be with him' translates to God’s presence within you to the degree you are present to Him in consciousness. Azariah’s message speaks to Asa and Judah as inner states of thought—your decisions and loyalties of mind—urging them to turn toward the Source. When you choose to seek Him, you activate the bridge of imagination and attention, and God becomes real in your experience. If you forsake Him—if your attention drifts to fear, habit, or ego—the connection recedes and you feel separation. This is not punitive; it is natural law: alignment births presence, neglect dissolves it. The practical fruit is steadier trust, courage, and obedience to your highest self. The inner covenant is available now: dwell in the awareness that God is always with you and can be found by turning inward in this moment. Your life begins to reflect that covenant as you sustain the state of consciousness that says, 'I am with God; God is with me.'
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare the state: 'I am with the LORD, and the LORD is with me; I seek Him now.' Breathe slowly three times and feel a warm inner light settling in your chest as you repeat the affirmation until it feels true.
