Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
He strengthened himself outwardly in Jerusalem, yet his heart did not seek the LORD. His reign was marked by that inner misalignment, leading to evil.
Neville's Inner Vision
You are the I AM perceiving a kingdom inside. Rehoboam’s outward fortifications symbolize the urge to fix the world from without while neglecting the living LORD within the center of your awareness. The line that the LORD chose Jerusalem for His name speaks that God’s presence rests in your innermost consciousness. When you do not fix your heart to seek that LORD, your reign—your decisions, habits, and life—will be ruled by fear, self-will, and misalignment. The cure is to shift focus from external power to inner alignment: declare I AM, and revise your state until the heart willingly seeks the divine. Imagine ruling from the inner city where the LORD resides, and let your choices reflect that alignment. By choosing the inner seek, your outward life begins to mirror divine order rather than human ambition, and your authority becomes a true expression of the I AM within you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: For five minutes, assume the LORD is seated within your heart as your sole authority; softly repeat 'I AM' and feel the inner city restored to harmony as your next decision aligns with that inner seeking.
