Inner Levites Return to Worship
2 Chronicles 11:14-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The Levites abandon their suburbs to come to Judah and Jerusalem to serve the LORD, while Jeroboam's kingship casts off the priestly office; yet those who set their hearts to seek the LORD come to Jerusalem to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Jeroboam's act as a symbol of the ego’s counterfeit priesthood in your own mind. The Levites abandoning suburbs is the inner move of consciousness from limited, outward loyalties to a center of truth. The high places and the calves are the idols the intellect builds when it forgets its unity with the I Am. When you feel the call to seek the LORD God of Israel, to turn within, you are the band of Levites returning to your inner Jerusalem, your true temple. The verse says such as set their hearts to seek the LORD came to sacrifice; this is your awareness choosing to offer the self to the One I Am. Do not imagine time or place; imagine you are the one stepping out of the suburbs of fear, out of Jeroboam's decree, and walking to the inner sanctuary. In that moment, you acknowledge that you and the LORD are one, your sacrifices are the consistent acts of awareness, gratitude, and fidelity to truth. The scene in your mind becomes the reality you live as.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are the Levite who left the suburbs of doubt and fear and you now stand inside your inner Jerusalem. Quietly affirm that you are the LORD God of your being and that your sacrifice is attention, gratitude, and fidelity to truth.
