Establishing the Inner Promise
2 Chronicles 1:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Solomon asks God to establish the promise to David, recognizing his kingship over a multitude of people. The passage frames the covenant as a living ground for his rule.
Neville's Inner Vision
Assume that the promise unto David is established in you now, for the I AM that you are is the throne on which all kingdoms arise. The king over a people as numerous as dust is simply a symbol of your vast inner life—every thought, feeling, impulse, and possibility under your quiet rule. When you mentally fix the state as already true, you are not petitioning God for what is distant; you are awakening to what you have been imagining all along. The inner petition to 'establish' becomes the act of choosing a single state of consciousness and wearing it like a crown. In this moment, you align with the I AM, and the world you experience reflects that alignment—order, abundance, calm, and creative power. The covenant is your inner law; to believe in it is to live from its end, here and now. Your job is to feel the crown of awareness resting upon you until your outer scene mirrors that sovereign inner life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise by imagining yourself crowned, ruling your inner life with calm and certainty. To feel it real, repeat the phrase 'The promise is established now' until the sensation of kingship saturates your being.
