Inner Gain of Contentment
1 Timothy 6:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Timothy 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Godliness combined with contentment is true gain. Wealth alone is not the measure.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the reader of this verse, godliness is not a ritual you perform but a state of consciousness you inhabit. Godliness is the steady attention of the I AM to life; contentment is the inner posture that says I already possess all I desire because I am the living wealth within. When you read the world as lack, you miss the truth: great gain is the calm you carry, the unshaken sense of sufficiency that remains when appearances wobble. The inner sense of wealth comes from assuming the end and letting feeling follow. Practice until you can sense the wind of abundance within you and let that wind reshape your outer scene. Wealth, then, is not money but alignment, a holiness of heart that trusts the I AM and acts from that trust. Dwell in this inner godliness with contentment, and your life will rearrange to reflect the inner decree, revealing the end you have already imagined.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and declare I am the I AM, dwelling in contentment as my wealth. Then imagine a scene where every need is met and feel the reality of that scene as if it is true now.
