Inner Wealth and Godly Stewardship

1 Timothy 6:17-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Timothy 6 in context

Scripture Focus

17Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
1 Timothy 6:17-19

Biblical Context

The passage instructs the wealthy to distrust uncertain riches and instead trust the living God. It urges doing good, sharing, and storing up a foundation for eternal life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Riches are never outside you; they are states of consciousness you cultivate. To heed Timothy is to notice what you trust most: if you cling to money as security, you invite fear; if you lean into the living God within you, abundance flows as provision for good works. See yourself not as a keeper of uncertain riches, but as awareness that richly gives all things to enjoy. When you imagine yourself generous—ready to distribute, willing to communicate—you awaken a vibration that aligns events, opportunities, and resources to your good. The foundation you lay is a certainty in your heart: eternal life begins now, as you regard God as source and act from that assumption. Prosperity becomes a witness to Providence guiding you when you give, not when you grasp.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: For five minutes, assume the I AM is your wealth, and you have all you need to bless others. Then perform a concrete act of generosity today, even if small—a gift, help, or a kind word—knowing you are laying up eternal life now.
