1 Timothy 6:13-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Timothy 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Timothy is charged to guard the commandment until the appearance of Christ, affirming Christ's sovereign reign and the immortality dwelling in the light of consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider this passage as a whisper to your own awareness. The charge 'in the sight of God' translates to a faithful attention you give to the truth you are becoming. God quickeneth all things means your living thoughts are the life that animates every experience. Before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession, is the inner witness you offer through your ongoing state—your unwavering testimony to what you intend to become. Keep this commandment without spot until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ; this is the discipline of not letting your inner state wobble as outer appearances would suggest. When He shall show, in his times, the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, you discover your own sovereignty in consciousness. Whom no man hath seen, nor can see, means the immortal light dwelling within your own I AM— the source of all you call real. Honour and power belong to this light forever.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already seated on the inner throne of your being; feel the I AM as unshakable light and declare, 'I am the King of my inner realm' until the sense of separation dissolves.
