Honoring Life's Inner Masters
1 Timothy 6:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Timothy 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These verses urge servants to honor their masters so that God’s name and doctrine are not blasphemed. They also teach that believing masters should be served as brothers because they are faithful and beloved.
Neville's Inner Vision
Know that to you, the entire world is a state of consciousness. The 'master' is not a person apart but a voice, a circumstance, a habit within your own mind. To honor this master is to acknowledge its role in your life as a necessary function of your inner order. In this light, blasphemy is simply the habit of resisting your own reality; harmony comes when you grant every role its rightful place in your I AM. When you view the master as a brother—beloved and faithful in the same divine act—you render service as an act of inner unity, not compliance. By serving out of love, you partake in the benefit of the whole, and your doctrine—the truth that God is within you—stays intact. These movements of acceptance and service teach you the art of consciousness. Practice this shift now: assume that all authorities are essential expressions of your own consciousness, and your world will reflect the orderly kingdom you imagine.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I honor every master in my life as a brother in God, and I am one with this life-activity.' Then feel the spiritual warmth of unity and the sense that you are served by and serving your own consciousness.
