Honor Your Inner Master
1 Timothy 6:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Timothy 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage tells servants to honor their masters, so that God's name and His teaching are not spoken against.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the inner vision, the 'servants' are states of consciousness yoked to an outer sense of authority. The 'masters' are the inner authorities we consent to—habits, beliefs, or rules of mind—that shape the direction of our life. When we honor them, we align the entire I AM within with a single order, and the name of God and His doctrine remain unblemished because there is no inner quarrel to publish as outer discord. The God in you does not compel submission; it invites you to accept the intelligent arrangement of your thoughts. If you resist or rebel, you cast doubt on the very structure through which God speaks in you, and 'blaspheme' the living truth by creating a split between belief and behavior. The healing is to affirm that the inner master guides with benevolence, and to cultivate fidelity—obedience to the inner law—so that your outer life mirrors the truth you already know in the I AM. In this frame, true worship is the harmony of consciousness with its own divine order.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the inner master as a loving I AM presence; repeat 'I honor my inner order' and feel the sense of wholeness as your belief aligns.
