Neville's Inner Vision

To the I AM within, this verse is not a rule for externals so much as a claim about your inner state. 'Grave' points to a steadfast consciousness, one that speaks with gravity because it has the weight of truth behind it. 'Not doubletongued' means your inner thought and outward word are one, matched by the alignment of belief and expression. 'Not given to much wine' mirrors freedom from intoxication by images, pleasures, or fear that dull awareness; you choose a clear, focused living presence. 'Not greedy of filthy lucre' declares independence from material outcome as the motive for action; service becomes a natural expression of your I AM, not a clever way to gain. When you assume this posture in imagination, you are not changing others but awakening a state of consciousness that makes such conduct natural. See yourself already as the man or woman who serves with integrity, whose words reflect your deepest truth, whose choices are guided by inner abundance rather than outer gain. Practice: assume you are this state now; feel the dignity of your I AM shaping every moment.

Practice This Now

Assume the state of the I AM as the grave, truthful, sober servant; in the next few moments, repeat 'I am the integrity in every word' and feel it real.
