Scripture Focus

15But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
1 Timothy 3:15

Biblical Context

The verse directs believers to know how to conduct themselves in the house of God, the living church that stands as the pillar and ground of truth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your true church is not a place but a state of consciousness. The 'house of God' is the living I AM you are always awareness itself; the 'church of the living God' is the unity of your thoughts and feelings held in the consciousness that never dies. When Paul says 'the pillar and ground of the truth,' he points to the inner support of what you believe and feel about yourself. If I tarry long—that is, if you linger in old assumptions and delayed realizations—the invitation remains: know how you ought to behave by aligning with this inner truth. Behavior follows state; your outer conduct becomes a natural expression of the inner church as you persist in the assumption of wholeness, fidelity, and holiness. The unity of believers is the inner coherence of your own mind, harmonized by the I AM. Your daily acts of obedience and faithfulness are simply the outward echo of an inward conviction that truth is now established in you. To dwell in this truth is to act from it; the building you inhabit is your own consciousness, and the world becomes a visible pillar of that reality.

Practice This Now

In a quiet moment, assume the state of being already inside the house of God, feel yourself as the church, the pillar and ground of truth, and revise any doubt until it feels real.
