Undeceived: Birth of Faith

1 Timothy 2:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Timothy 2 in context

Scripture Focus

14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
1 Timothy 2:14-15

Biblical Context

Adam stands in clear awareness; the woman is caught by deception and transgression. Salvation comes through steadfast faith, love, holiness, and sober conduct.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the spiritual lens I teach, this text speaks of states of consciousness rather than historical events. Adam represents the unwavering I AM, the constant awareness that cannot be deceived by appearances. Eve's deception and transgression symbolize the egoic imagination that tends to accept seeming reality and forget its divine source. Paul notes the fall, but the promise of salvation is not in the past; it is a birth of truth through disciplined inner living. To be saved in childbearing is to birth a new idea, a divine possibility, through faith that holds-fast, charity that acts from love, holiness that keeps one apart from lower thoughts, and sobriety that guards the mind from sensational distraction. When you choose to imagine yourself as the creator of your inner world, you discover that the 'child' you bear is a living principle of truth, not a physical offspring. The inner act of bearing becomes the alignment of imagination with God, a continuous birth of righteousness into form. Salvation then is a present, practical state of consciousness that you inhabit by steady revision and feeling it real.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the I AM that cannot be deceived. Revise any sense of error and feel a new divine idea being birthed through faith, charity, holiness, and sobriety.
