Inner Order Before Deception

1 Timothy 2:13-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Timothy 2 in context

Scripture Focus

13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1 Timothy 2:13-14

Biblical Context

Adam was formed first; Eve followed. Adam was not deceived, but Eve was, and the transgression entered.

Neville's Inner Vision

Adam and Eve are not distant people but inner states of consciousness. Adam being first formed signals the primacy of ordered awareness—the I AM that presides over every inner movement. Eve represents the feminine current of belief that can be swayed by appearances. When Eve is deceived, the inner speech accepts the illusion that separation from God is real; the fall arises in the imagination, not in outer events. The verse thus marks a choice: remain aligned with the I AM or yield to deception through belief in appearances. Therefore, Adam not deceived embodies steadfast inner attention; Eve deceived shows where fear tempts fidelity to truth. Your work is to identify with the aware observer until the impression of lack dissolves. Revise by assuming you already possess the state you seek, and feel it real in the present. Imaginatively claim the inner order as complete, and let the sense of transgression fade as your awareness confirms its truth now.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM as your present center and revise any sense of lack by feeling it real now. Picture Adam’s ordered mind restoring Eve’s clarity, until transgression drops away.
