Present Doctrine, Inner Edification
1 Timothy 1:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul urges Timothy to remain in Ephesus and ensure no one teaches another doctrine. He warns against fables and endless genealogies that spark questions rather than build faith.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that Paul's outward command is a mirror for the inner state. The 'doctrine' spoken of is not a creed to memorize but the steadiness of your awareness. To 'abide' is to live in the present conviction, while the mind ventures outward with fables and genealogies, busy with questions, not with edifying faith. The true doctrine is the timeless I AM—your God-ward sense of being that cannot be split by argument. When you imagine other teachings, you are altering your state and thus your experiences. Return, gently, to the simple trust that your awareness is the only edifying power. Let faith be your building material, and let the imagination cease its restless scheming, for it is through belief that you construct reality. In this light, 'godly edifying which is in faith' becomes the felt experience of unity within, free from doubt. The remedy is not rhetoric but a deliberate revision of your inner story until it aligns with that single truth.
Practice This Now
Assume: 'I am abiding in the one true doctrine now' and revise any stray thought as 'These fables are not mine; I am the I AM that remains.' Then sit quietly and feel the presence of faith as the steady edifice of your life.
