1 Timothy 1:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Timothy 1 in context

Scripture Focus

1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Timothy 1:1-2

Biblical Context

Paul's greeting speaks from divine authority granted by God, reminding you that your life is governed by a higher will. Grace, mercy, and peace are inner states available now, flowing from your true source.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of Paul as the mouthpiece of your own I AM, the channel through which God our Saviour speaks in the realm of consciousness. The 'commandment of God our Saviour' is not an outside decree but the inner decree you align with when you dwell in the awareness that you are beloved and guided. 'Which is our hope' is not future expectation but the knowing that the divine plan is already set within you, awaiting your acceptance. Timothy, 'my own son in the faith,' represents your inner faith personified—a trusted aspect of you that has grown under the discipline of perception. When the apostle extends 'grace, mercy, and peace' from God and Jesus, he is naming the three faculties of your being: grace as the favor that precedes achievement, mercy as the compassion that dissolves limitation, and peace as the quiet confidence of the I AM. Experience these gifts by assuming their reality and feeling them real within your present moment. The outer world will follow the movement of your inner state.

Practice This Now

Assume the greeting as your current truth: 'Grace, mercy, and peace are mine now from God, my Father and Jesus Christ.' Then feel these gifts as real sensations in your chest and solar plexus.
