Sanctification by Inner Will
1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul states that God's will is your sanctification and that believers should abstain from fornication. He urges mastery of one's vessel, honor in conduct, and living in holiness through the Spirit.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this inner reading, sanctification is not a distant rule but a state of consciousness you awaken to this moment. The will of God is the present discipline of awareness: you choose what you feed your mind, which thoughts you let settle, and what you permit to move through your day. 'Abstain from fornication' becomes a refusal of any lower appetite that would dull your sense of I AM, a return to the wholeness you already are. 'Possess his vessel in sanctification and honour' means you treat the body as a temple of I AM — guard sensation and thought so that they reflect integrity, not impulse. The Gentiles who know not God represent inner ignorance; you dispel it by acknowledging the Holy Spirit within as your constant companion, your divine memory. When you fear defrauding or being harmed, know that the Lord is the avenger of such acts, yet your work is to cultivate forgiveness and honesty toward every brother. God has called you to holiness, not uncleanness; despisers resist not man but the living I AM within you.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling that you are sanctified now and revise any impulse into reverent action; imagine your day unfolding through pure, honorable choices. Feel it real by softly repeating 'I AM holy' as you breathe.
