Honest Walk Toward Outsiders
1 Thessalonians 4:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Thessalonians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse calls you to walk honestly toward outsiders and to practice integrity in every interaction. It also promises that, as you stand in truth, you will lack nothing.
Neville's Inner Vision
The outer world is a mirror of your inner state. To walk honestly toward those without is to carry a consciousness of integrity into every encounter—an inner posture that asks nothing from the outer but offers true perception. When you imagine yourself already in possession of all you need, the sense of lack dissolves; that is the 'lack of nothing' taking form as abundance of awareness. The I AM, not your body or your circumstances, is the source of every correct word and deed. If you feel or fear judgment from others, revise the impression by affirming: 'I AM honesty in action; I AM the wealth of truth within me.' The world you meet becomes your invitation to demonstrate your inner state; the outsiders become your test and your ally, showing that your resolve to act rightly is intact. By assuming the feeling of the fulfilled inner state and letting it color your intentions, you align outer behavior with inner reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking among outsiders with perfect honesty in every word and gesture; then declare, 'I AM the I AM, and I lack nothing,' allowing the sense of sufficiency to fill your awareness.
