Stand Fast, Live Joyfully
1 Thessalonians 3:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul says we live when we stand firm in the Lord, and he expresses gratitude and joy for the faith and fellowship of believers before God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Standing fast in the Lord is not a distant command but a tuning of consciousness. When Paul says, 'we live,' he means the inner vitality that flows when I align with the I AM God within. The word 'Lord' becomes my present awareness, the steady rock against which every thought or fear is pressed and returned to stillness. Gratitude and joy do not spring from outward results; they are the natural response of a mind that dwells in a fixed state of faith. As I imagine 'our God' looking upon this steadfastness, I feel a warm witness within, as if the divine I AM applauds and blesses the choice to remain unmoved by appearances. Thus, what is rendered to God is not petition but recognition: I acknowledge the Lord in you and in me, and that acknowledgment becomes the living proof that I am awake. The verse invites an inner worship: gratitude that the life of others is my own in consciousness, forever.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: I live now because I stand fast in the Lord; revise any anxious thought to that fixed consciousness, and feel the warmth of inner gratitude for the joy others bring, as if God itself approves.
