Read 1 Thessalonians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

5For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
6But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
1 Thessalonians 3:5-6

Biblical Context

Paul fears their faith may be tested and asks about it; Timothy brings news of their faith and love, and the desire to reconnect confirms their steadfastness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your faith is not a distant thing but a state of consciousness you carry as the I AM. The 'tempter' is doubt that arises when you forget who you are; it cannot tempt you when you remember the scene is produced by your inner conviction. When I could not forbear, I am pointing you to the inner inspector of your state: feel the fidelity of your being, the trust that your life is kept by the living I AM. Timotheus—the messenger who came with good tidings—symbolizes the inner faculty that carries remembrance of your true state: faith and charity that endure. The good news is not a separate event but your awareness confirming itself. As you dwell in that assurance, labor ceases to be vain, for every action flows from the state you already inhabit. Your future then echoes the present certainty: faith endures, love expands, and you are seen by the I AM that you are.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of your faith already being present; imagine Timotheus delivering the good news of that faith and love to you, and rest in the I AM that knows this is real now.
