Timotheus and Inner Faith
1 Thessalonians 3:2-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul sends Timotheus to establish and comfort your faith, telling you not to be moved by afflictions, since you know we are appointed to them. He comes with good news of your faith and charity, and a longing on both sides to see each other.
Neville's Inner Vision
Timotheus is not a distant envoy but an inner function of your own consciousness—the faithful minister within you, sent to establish you in the truth that you are already complete. The afflictions Thessalonica faced are not out there; they are the inner movements of attention that tempt you to forget the I AM that you are. To be moved by them is to yield to the tempter, doubt, and the sense of separation. Yet the report of faith and charity from Timotheus shows that your deeper self has not left you; your certainty endures beneath appearances. When you hear of their good remembrance and longing to see you, you perceive your own longing to meet the higher expression of consciousness you call God. The reunion Paul desires is the inner alignment with your true state, whereby your labor is not in vain because your awareness has shifted. You awaken to a present-tense reality: you are established in faith, held by love, and guided by an inner governor who never slips from your side.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume the state that you are established in faith and unshaken by appearances. In a quiet moment, imagine Timotheus stepping into your awareness with the report of good tidings, and feel the confidence and love filling you as real.
