Inner Path Directed

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul asks God to direct believers' path, for love to increase toward all, and for hearts to be established in holiness before God at Christ's coming.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the verse reveals the inner architecture of God as I AM directing my own life. When I realize that God himself and our Father are the inner ruler and our Lord Jesus Christ is the focal point of my attention, my path becomes luminous and purposeful. The first movement is a consent — an inner agreement that the direction of my day is not at the mercy of circumstance but of consciousness. As I imagine the Lord directing my way, my thoughts align with a single purpose: to be led into opportunities to express love. Then comes the command that love may abound toward one another and toward all men, which in my practice becomes the felt movement of tenderness inside me toward every person I meet. Finally, the passage speaks of establish your hearts unblameable in holiness — an inner settling, a state of being where guilt or fear no longer rule, because holiness is a steady vibration of recognition of the I AM in all. Thus the outer blessing mirrors the inner condition: directness of consciousness, flowing love, and a sanctified heart.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and silently repeat, 'God directs my way; the I AM is my constant director.' Then feel love widening toward others as if the heart rests in holiness, and see that this inner state guides every step.
