Inner Messenger of Faith
1 Thessalonians 3:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul could not bear the delay and chose to stay at Athens, sending Timothy to strengthen and comfort the Thessalonians in their faith.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice how the apostle declares he could not forbear and chooses to release an inner messenger rather than cling to outer help. 'We could no longer forbear' is the I AM speaking—an inner restlessness until a right state is assumed. To be 'left at Athens alone' is not a geographic fact but attention withdrawn from external supports, inviting the inner minister to rise. Timothy, 'our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ,' becomes an inner function—an idea or feeling that ministers to your state and tends your faith. To 'establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith' means you recognize faith as a fixed state of consciousness you can revise and hold. The gospel of Christ is the good news that you are already in harmony with divine order; the inner Timothy is your word, your imagination, and your assurance. When you cultivate that minister within, you stop living by appearances and feel the sustained presence of your own Source guiding you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the inner Timothy has arrived within you as your minister of God, and feel your faith being established and comforted by the I AM.
