Presence Of Christ Within Now

1 Thessalonians 2:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Thessalonians 2 in context

Scripture Focus

19For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
1 Thessalonians 2:19

Biblical Context

Paul questions what our hope, joy, and crown are, suggesting the believers are already in the presence of Christ at his coming. It points to a present inner reality rather than future outward signs.

Neville's Inner Vision

Read as Neville: The apostle's question is a naked invitation to remember who you are. Our 'hope' is the expectation of consciousness when it knows it is the I AM; our 'joy' is the peace that arises when you stop chasing outward signs and rest in awareness that Christ is within. The 'crown of rejoicing' is the felt victory that comes with the realization that those who stand in his presence are members of the same inner kingdom you awaken. The 'coming' is not a future event but a shift in your inner state: the moment you turn your attention to the I AM and declare it, Christ is present here and now. Therefore, to have others in that presence is to acknowledge your own capacity to sustain such states and to imagine their companionship there. When you dwell in that realization, your day becomes a procession of crowned awareness, and the world outside aligns with your inner certainty.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, settle into I AM, and silently declare, 'I am in the presence of Christ now.' Visualize the people you seek as already with you in that inner presence, and let the joyous crown of realization fill you.
