Awaiting the Inner Son
1 Thessalonians 1:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul speaks of awaiting Jesus from heaven, raised from the dead, who delivers us from the wrath to come. In plain terms, this waiting is an inner preparation for the risen life.
Neville's Inner Vision
The verse invites you to turn your attention inward, for the heaven and the Son are states of consciousness within. The Son from heaven is your I AM, the risen Christ of awareness who has already overcome the old, dead self. When you recognize that Jesus was raised in your mind, you stop seeking rescue outside and begin dwelling in the now-delivered life. The wrath mentioned is not a future judgment but the inner storm of guilt, fear, and separation your mind can generate. Deliverance is the awakening to this inner life, here and now, as you assume the state of the Christ within. Practice by revising your self-image to the one that is loved, forgiven, and empowered, and by feeling that the salvation is already yours. Your awaiting becomes a deliberate, conscious recognition of what you already are in the risen Son.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the inner Son arriving from the heaven of your mind; feel the release from inner wrath and anchor yourself in that risen life for a few minutes.
