Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus greet the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, offering grace and peace. They thank God, recall the believers’ faith, love, and hope, affirm their election, and describe turning from idols to serve the living God while awaiting Jesus.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the Thessalonians are not a distant church but a state of consciousness you can enter now. In Neville’s language, God is the I AM within you, and the grace and peace Paul offers are the natural condition of awareness when you align your attention with that I AM. The gospel does not come merely in spoken words; it comes with power, in the Holy Ghost, in confident inner assurance—the interior demonstration that you are already what you seek. Your faith, your labor of love, and your patience of hope are inner movements toward God, signals that you have elected to know yourself as God’s own. When you “became followers” of those who know this, you do so because you have recalled your true nature and welcomed the Spirit as present; even under affliction, joy arises as the Holy Spirit testifies to your oneness with the living and true God. From this inner state, the word sounds forth in every place your faith is directed, and others glimpse your transformation. You turn from idols to serve the living God; you await the Son from heaven, Jesus, raised from the dead, who delivers you from wrath by the awakening of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and assume the state 'I am in God, and in Christ Jesus'; feel grace and peace flooding your consciousness. Then revise any sense of separation by affirming you already serve the living God and await His Son as your present manifestation.
