Inner Path to the Prophet Within
1 Samuel 9:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Saul and his servant seek a man of God to learn the path; they debate what to bring, and the servant offers a coin as an offering to obtain guidance.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this scene, the 'man of God' is the inner I AM—the guiding consciousness within you. The bread spent and the lack of a present symbolize your initial doubt and the need to invest something of value—attention, faith, and willingness to act—before the inner voice can reveal the way. The servant’s offer of a fourth part of a shekel represents the exact measure of reverence you bring to your inner guidance; the amount matters less than your readiness to exchange old beliefs for present direction. When you acknowledge the inner prophet, its promises become a felt certainty: the guidance you seek is already in you, awaiting your alignment. The key is obedience to the inner decree, not possession of external currency. The cost is the commitment to act on what you receive and to walk the path you see inwardly revealed. Thus the encounter is a parable of how inner law operates: you invite truth by valuing it and then move in harmony with it, until the way opens within you.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already shown the next step on your path by the inner voice. Feel the reality of that guidance, and commit to act on it today, offering the 'coin' of belief as the price of seeing.
