Inner Cart of Divine Presence
1 Samuel 6:7-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Samuel 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel sends the ark on a new cart with two cows and offerings to test if God’s hand moved the disaster. The test asks whether the outcome is divine guidance or mere chance.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene as a diagram of consciousness. The ark is not a box of wood but the I AM dwelling in you; the cart is the shape your thought takes when you set an intention and release it to be carried by the law. The milch kine, unyoked, symbolize a state of mind that has not yet learned fear or bondage—an unburdened appetite of desire guided by inner trust. By sending the calves away with their mothers, you let go of past impulses that might pull you back into old dreams. The gold jewels and the coffer represent offerings you make to the Presence, acknowledging what you owe to the life you imagine and turning it into a revision of lack into abundance. Then you release the ark to move on its own track, not by your fragile calculation but by the impersonal intelligence within you. If it travels toward Beth-shemesh, your inner home, you know that the hand behind it is the divine I AM, not chance. Practice: assume that right now the I AM is moving your life toward your desired state, and feel that truth as if it already were.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the I AM is moving your life toward your desired state, and feel it real; envision the ark gliding on unburdened wheels toward Beth-shemesh, free from fear.
