1 Samuel 6:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Outward symbols—emerods and mice—reflect inner tendencies; the verse invites turning from idols to the God within and softening a hard heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the story, the emerods and mice are not distant afflictions but images of your own mind. The Israelites set up images to honor their losses and fears, yet the real power is always the God within—the I AM that you are aware of. When you cling to the form, when you demand the land be lightened by something outside, you harden your heart just as the Egyptians did, resisting the inner movement that would free you. The moment you acknowledge that all images of hardship are only appearances in your consciousness, the hand that lightens appears as your own inner shift. God is not elsewhere and distant; He is the awareness in which every form arises. By choosing to give glory to the God within, you stop worshiping appearances and begin to reign in your land by your inner state. This is not a conquest but a redefining of reality: you are the I AM, and your present condition changes as you affirm that truth.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise, 'I am the I AM within; these outward images are thoughts in my consciousness, and I choose to let them go,' then dwell in the felt sense of inner sovereignty until it feels real.
