1 Samuel 3:19-21

Biblical Context

Samuel grows and the LORD is with him; his words are reliable, and Israel recognizes him as a prophet. The LORD reveals Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by His Word.

Neville's Inner Vision

Samuel’s growth is a picture of your own becoming. The LORD being with him is the assurance that your inner I AM is awake and listening. When Samuel speaks, none of his words fall to the ground because they proceed from a living principle, a Word within you that does not fade or fail. The people’s knowing that he is a prophet is the outer echo of an inner fact: you have become established in the ability to hear and declare the truth from consciousness, not from want or fear. The LORD appearing again in Shiloh represents the return of awareness to your sacred center; Shiloh is the quiet place where you listen for the Word that the LORD breathes into you. So if you wish to see your outer life reflect this, practice dwelling in the inner word. Assume you are already the prophet of your inner Israel; speak from the stillness, and watch as the world aligns to your stated truth, guided by the Word that never falls.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit in quiet for a few minutes and declare, 'I am established in the inner word; the Word within me is alive and reliable.' Then feel it-real by noticing a sense of alignment in thoughts and a calm that your speech carries weight.
