The Inner Hill Of David
1 Samuel 26:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David crosses to the far side and stands atop a hill, with a great space between him and Saul. The scene is a story of distance and vantage, not defeat.
Neville's Inner Vision
By the Neville lens, the hill is not geography but the rising state of consciousness. David's crossing to the other side is the turning inward from the immediate scene of danger to the inner vantage point where I AM governs. The distance between David and Saul is the space of imagination not circumstance. When he stands on that distant hill, he is not escaping the threat but rising above it in awareness, declaring in effect: I am the Lord of this inner kingdom and the events that seem to threaten me are only movements within my own mind. The 'king' within is the will that refuses to identify with the fear of scarcity or death; the hill is a platform from which vantage is gained and the future is already chosen in consciousness. If you feel trapped by any Saul in your life, apply the same: retire to the inner hill, observe the scene as I AM, refuse to resolve by fear, and let the feeling of the wish fulfilled rise until it stands large between you and the outer circumstance. The moment you assume this kingly stance, you write the outcome.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, visualize standing on a hill far enough to see the entire scene, with space between you and the threat; silently declare, I am the ruler of my inner kingdom, and feel the king within.
