1 Samuel 22:9-10

Biblical Context

Doeg reports that David visited Nob, where Ahimelech inquired of the LORD for him and provided him with bread and the sword of Goliath.

Neville's Inner Vision

David is not a man alone but a state of readiness in you. Nob is the sanctuary of your inner awareness, where the priestly Ahimelech within you inquires of the LORD on your behalf. When you 'enquire of the LORD,' you align with the I AM and are fed with bread of sustenance and given the sword of power to meet the Goliath of fear. Doeg’s report is merely the outward voice of old beliefs trying to prove you are without guidance; the inward truth remains: the moment you seek within, the I AM answers with provision, discernment, and direction. Providence becomes your inner economy, distributing supply as needed through prayer, imagination, and compassionate action toward yourself. This scene invites you to trust that guidance and resources come from your own consciousness, not from external judgments. Your inner priestly aid is always present, offering nourishment and protection as you move with clarity and grace.

Practice This Now

Tonight, enter Nob in your imagination and picture Ahimelech—the facet of you that inquires of the LORD—feeding you bread and placing Goliath’s sword in your hand. Assume the I AM is your reality now; feel the nourishment and empowerment as already yours.
