Inner Safeguard: Abide With Me

1 Samuel 22:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Samuel 22 in context

Scripture Focus

23Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
1 Samuel 22:23

Biblical Context

Abide with me and do not fear. The outer threat is answered by inner unity, and staying in that companionship provides safeguard.

Neville's Inner Vision

Abide thou with me means let your attention settle in the one life you are—your I AM presence. Fear not is the command of the awakened, for fear is a vibration that cannot stand in the light of awareness. For he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life declares that the outer pursuit of harm is nothing more than a reflection of your inner state: when you feel separated from your source, the world seems to threaten you; when you claim the I AM as your central truth, the apparent pursuer loses its gravity because it cannot attack the self that is aware. But with me thou shalt be in safeguard promises that alignment with your true identity provides protection: you are not shielded by external power, but by the undisturbed presence you consistently inhabit. This is the Neville-style message: your life is not at mercy of appearances; your consciousness is the beacon that channels safety by staying fixed in God.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, rest in the I AM, and repeat, 'With me I am safeguarded.' If a threatening image appears, revise it by seeing yourself and the other as one in God, untouched and at peace.
