Inner Victory at Goliath's Gate
1 Samuel 17:25-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel promises rich rewards for killing the giant, including wealth, a daughter, and freedom for his family. David questions the dare, calling Goliath an uncircumcised foe and affirming faith in the living God to defend His armies.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the entire episode is not about swords and armor but about a state of consciousness. The "giant" is your own fear, the "army" your current beliefs, and the reward promised by the crowd is simply the outward echo of your inner conclusion. When David asks 'What shall be done to the man who kills him?' you hear your own wish to remove reproach from within. The 'living God' is not a distant deity but the I AM that animates your awareness. If you would slay the Philistine, you must assume in imagination the condition already achieved: the giant's defiance dissolved, the camp’s doubts dissolved, and the inner king ruling with authority. The riches, the daughter, the freedom all symbolize inner abundance, alignment with divine law, and the freeing of your house from fear. So make the decision now: accept that the victory is already done in the inner state, and let your feeling-tone prove it.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: For a few minutes, assume the state of having already slain the giant; feel the inner wealth, freedom, and reverence as real now. Rest in that feeling and let it govern your next decisions.
