Inner Rescue of Jonathan
1 Samuel 14:44-45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Samuel 14 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Saul's threat to Jonathan is countered by the people's insistence that Jonathan's salvation is a work with God; he is spared. The scene mirrors an inner law: a state of consciousness aligned with the I AM prevails over a fearful decree.
Neville's Inner Vision
Saul's doom pronouncement is a fear-thought in the outer scene. Yet the true act is produced by the inner assembly—the people—representing a disciplined state of consciousness that refuses harm and insists on the survival of what is wrought with God. Jonathan appears as the realized posture of your faith when you align with the I AM, not as a separate boy but as your own awareness functioning with divine energy. The curse that not a hair of his head shall fall is opposed by the inner decree that the integrity of your being shall be preserved by the inner law you accept. The rescue happens because the inner state identifies with a victory already assured by Providence; mercy flows wherever consciousness refuses to entertain limitation. So, in your own life, treat any threatening thought as a transient fear and dwell in the conviction that salvation is present now because you and God are one. Your assumption that this day you wrought with God is the seed that bears fruit in the daily scene.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner state that not a hair of this situation shall fall; declare salvation is present now and feel the I AM guarding what you value. Close your eyes, linger in the feeling of that assured protection until it feels real.
