Inner Kingdom, Outer Command
1 Samuel 13:13-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Samuel rebukes Saul for not keeping the Lord’s command, and says Saul’s kingdom will not endure; God will seek a man after His heart to lead the people.
Neville's Inner Vision
Saul represents a state of consciousness that builds life on external forms and fear of loss, rather than on the inner command of the I AM. The ‘commandment of the LORD thy God’ is the living directive of your own awareness—an inner order demanding obedience. When you neglect it, your outward life, your ‘kingdom,’ falters because it is fashioned from surface acts rather than aligned consciousness. The proclamation that the LORD hath sought him a man after His own heart points to a higher inner state—a consciousness that loves and obeys divine order—ready to govern when you consent to the inner rule. This is not punishment but a return to your true self, the I AM, the governor whose government endures when you truly align with inner command. Neville teaches that you can reclaim this sovereignty by imagining and living as the I AM obeying the inner command now, thereby aligning your outer life with your innermost truth and restoring the kingdom’s continuity.
Practice This Now
For 5 minutes, close your eyes and place a hand on your heart. Silently affirm in the present tense: I am the I AM obeying the inner command now; my outer life follows this divine order. Then visualize your life shifting into harmony as the inner kingdom anchors itself.
