Inner Deliverance Through Turning
1 Samuel 12:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Samuel 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
They acknowledge they sinned by forsaking the LORD and serving other gods, and they cry for deliverance while pledging to serve Him. In response, God raises the deliverers and brings them to safety as their consciousness turns back to the LORD.
Neville's Inner Vision
Where you see a people crying, understand that the cry is your own turning of consciousness back to the I AM. The forsaking of the LORD and the worship of Baalim and Ashtaroth symbolize a moment when you believed in illusions of separation and power apart from your inner presence. When you confess and own that misalignment, the inner atmosphere shifts; God does not change the weather but reawakens the inner ruler—the awareness that you are one with the I AM. The deliverers named in the verse are inner faculties awakening: discernment, steadfastness, leadership, and guidance. These faculties rise as you return to the truth that you serve the living God within, not a distant deity. Your enemies on every side dissolve as fear resigns its throne and trust is restored. Thus you dwell safely because your state of consciousness has been reordered to align with its source. Practice this by assuming the feeling of the I AM acting in your life and revise any story of separation into a declaration of service to the One Presence.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are already delivered by the I AM; reaffirm your vow to serve the Lord within and feel safety rising.
