Inner Covenant Under Threat
1 Samuel 11:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Nahash the Ammonite encamps Jabeshgilead, and its people ask for a covenant to save themselves. The scene mirrors the mind's impulse to surrender to fear when survival is at stake.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this scene the encamped Nahash represents the pressing fear that threatens your inner city. The plea to covenant is the mind’s temptation to surrender sovereignty to a harsher power. You are not Jabeshgilead awaiting mercy; you are the I AM choosing the nature of the day. The covenant with fear reveals a belief that you must serve limitation to appease threat. Yet true power lies in realizing you are awareness that witnesses the drama, not the drama itself. By reinterpreting this as an inner decision, you can revoke the covenant with fear by declaring, internally, 'I am the I AM; I do not serve fear; I create from consciousness.' When this silent revision takes root, the encampment dissolves and a new sense of kingship arises—not of domination over others, but the mastery of your inner state. The outer event then aligns with your revised consciousness, and the kingdom of God within expands as you refuse to barter away freedom.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, repeat silently, 'I am the I AM; I do not serve fear,' and feel the truth settle in your chest. Then picture Nahash dissolving as you stand firmly in awareness.
