New Heart, Prophetic Moment
1 Samuel 10:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Samuel 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Saul turns away from Samuel, and God grants him a new heart; the Spirit comes upon him that day, and he prophesies among the prophets.
Neville's Inner Vision
The verse speaks not of Saul as a distant monarch, but of a shift in your own consciousness. When you turn from the outward Samuel, your carnal identity or old guidance, God gives you another heart, a different center of awareness. This 'new heart' is the I AM felt as your true state, the awareness that simply is and cannot be shaken by appearances. The signs that come to pass that day are the inner confirmations your imagination has produced in awareness, now made outward as activity, coincidence, or certainty in your life. When you ascend the hill of your mind and encounter a company of prophets, you are greeting the voices of your higher faculties awakened—intuition, insight, inspired action—flooded by the Spirit of God, which is your own living consciousness. Prophesying among them means your words, deeds, and attitudes begin to harmonize with this higher state, revealing the kingdom of God within and your true kingly authority. The outer crown is but symbol; the real kingship is inner alignment with I AM, the consciousness that creates your world.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume you already have the 'new heart.' Feel its certainty now and imagine the signs of that inner turning appearing in your life today, so your words and actions echo the state as real.
