Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Samuel is weaned and Hannah brings him to the LORD with offerings, dedicating the child to divine service at Shiloh.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this verse, the act of weaning signals not an end but a readiness of consciousness. Hannah’s bringing of Samuel to the house of the LORD with gifts becomes an inner image: a vessel prepared for sacred service. The three bullocks, flour, and wine symbolize the resources you now consecrate to the presence of God within, a surrender of personal claim for covenant loyalty. Samuel’s youth emphasizes that the divine presence can dwell in the temple of even the latest, most pliant stage of your mind, so you can receive guidance now. Neville would say: this scene invites you to withdraw the sense of lack and assume that your innermost idea—your Samuel—is already devoted to service in the sanctuary of your awareness. By holding this assumption, you dissolve old lack and awaken to the end-state, the presence of God you already are. When you live from the I AM in that temple, you no longer seek; you fulfill from the within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the innermost idea you prize being presented to your inner temple with offerings of commitment, daily effort, and joy. Then feel the I AM affirm: you are already dedicated to divine service within.
