End Is Near: Awake and Pray
1 Peter 4:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Peter 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse speaks of the end being near and calls for sobriety and vigilant prayer as a way to align consciousness with divine activity.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your end is not a distant catastrophe, but the closing of a small worn self story into a new awareness. Peter says the end of all things is at hand; in Neville style this means the end of one outer situation is already accomplished as you awaken to a consistent state of consciousness. Sober is not a diet but a clear and steady I AM attention unshaken by fear, fantasy, or hurry. Watch unto prayer becomes the habit of maintaining a constant inner petition, an inner conversation with the I AM, whereby you imagine from the end, not toward lack. When you dwell in the feeling that you are already the person described by your wish, you align your inner vibrations with its reality. Endurance of hope arises as you hold to the vision that your next moment is the fulfillment of your inner promise, and that the next breath is the divine invitation to peace.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, assume the end state you desire as if it is now, and feel it real through gentle repetition of the chosen assumption.
