Inner Judgment and Spirit Life

1 Peter 4:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Peter 4 in context

Scripture Focus

5Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
6For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
1 Peter 4:5-6

Biblical Context

God will judge the living and the dead; the gospel has been preached to those who seem spiritually dead so they may be judged by human standards yet live by God in the spirit.

Neville's Inner Vision

The verse speaks to your inner life, not a distant courtroom. The quick and the dead are states of awareness within you. God, the I AM, judges according to alignment with your true self. When the gospel is preached to the dead, it revives consciousness that has slept from God. External judgments of men reflect only surface conditions; the real life is lived by God in the spirit. Your imagination is the instrument of this judgment and redemption: you revise inner scenes, assume I AM, and let the outer world bend to the inner state. Live by your divine nature and act from trust, not fear. This is resurrection: life wakes inside and the outward appears as a mirror of your renewed state.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and declare I AM the judge of my life; revise a fear into confidence and feel the spirit sustaining every moment as real.
