Biblical Context
Judgment begins with the house of God, and if the righteous barely survive, what becomes of the ungodly? The text urges you to commit your soul to God through steadfast, well-doing.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville, judgment is an inner weighing of thoughts and motives within your own consciousness. The “house of God” is your awareness, where images and feelings rise and fall as you believe either in limitation or in your true, divine nature. Judgment here is the moment you discern and refine your inner state, for creation follows belief. If the righteous are saved with difficulty, this points to relying on outward signs rather than trusting the inner law: you are kept by the I AM, the faithful Creator inside you. The question, where shall the ungodly appear, dissolves once you see you appear to yourself from the I AM’s vantage—there is nowhere you are separate from God. The remedy is simple: commit the keeping of your soul to God through well-doing—continue to act in harmony with your divine nature, not from fear of conditions, but from the unwavering conviction that you are eternally held by the inner Creatorship. Do not resist appearances; align your inner state until your outer scene reflects it.
Practice This Now
In a quiet moment, sit still and imagine you are kept by the faithful Creator within. Say quietly, 'I am kept by the I AM in well-doing,' and let that realization settle into your bones until it feels real.
