Arm Yourself with God's Will

1 Peter 4:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Peter 4 in context

Scripture Focus

1Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1 Peter 4:1-2

Biblical Context

Christ suffered in the flesh, and you should adopt the same mindset. When you do, you cease from sin and begin living the rest of your life in alignment with God's will.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Peter's words, the path is an inner revision. The flesh is a state of consciousness clinging to old appetites, and suffering is the moment you refuse that allegiance. Arm yourself with the same mind; choose now to inhabit the state that has ceased from sin, and to live not by the lusts of men but by the will of God. When you make that inner decision, the old impulses lose their traction; your next actions become expressions of a single state of consciousness that is in harmony with God. The rest of your time in the flesh becomes a steady demonstration of the will as your normal operating principle, not a duty to a distant command. The will of God is the God within you, the I AM awareness that does not fear or crave but simply is. Your suffering is not punishment; it is a redirecting sign that you are waking to your true function. Practice: assume the will of God, revise your state, and feel it real until life aligns.

Practice This Now

Assume the state: I am in the will of God. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, breathe, and repeat I AM aligned, feeling the truth until it becomes your lived experience.
